What Curriculum does Footsteps Preschool Use?

We use the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum, along with consulting with the Texas Pre-K guidelines to build our program's curriculum.   We strive to expose children to a wide variety of preschool learning opportunities to grow our students spiritually emotionally, physically, and cognitively.  

Do students need to be potty trained?

Yes, all Footsteps Preschool students should be fully potty trained, able to go into the bathroom and independently take care of all needs in the bathroom.  (All classrooms have bathrooms accessible from the classroom, and students may use the bathroom at any time). 

How do I register my child?

Email Footsteps@FellowshipLH.com for more information as well as details on how to set up a tour.  Families will need to attend a tour in able to be eligible to register.  Registration opens in February for the next school year. 

How much time is spent outside?

We love our tree shaded playground and have moved many inside activities outside.  We are usually outside at drop off between 8:00am and 9:00 am, have a before noon outside time, and are usually back outside for afternoon pick up between 2/2:30 pm and 3/3:30 pm.  In addition to our playscape, we have a variety of other centers available all the time, as well as weekly centers brought out.  

What training do Footsteps Preschool teachers have?

Footsteps Preschool teachers complete a pre-service training prior to teaching, as well as at least 30 training hours each school year.   All teachers are first aide and pediatric cpr certified.
